During my exploration, i saw that violence against women was through the world, and was a worldwride problem. I saw that there was a lot of violence in various forms, and that physical violence was not the only one that existed. The problem is often that women don't dare to speak, and that in some countries morals sometimes allow it (for example forced marriage). Over the last decades, much progress has been made to raise awareness and make the fight against violence against women a priority. For women to dare to speak out, we must support them, but we must also bring concrete solutions to help them in the best possible way (legal follow-up...). In my MindMap, I wanted to show that there is violence on
women and girls all around the world. Sometimes in different
forms, like mutilations and forced weddings in Africa, but mostly,
with rapes and blows in all the world. We notice that regardless
of, where it is located (private or public, poor or rich
countries), education (executives at work/young girls out of
school), actions (ignorance/refusal/silence) the violence on women
are there.
So, we can ask ourselves how to change mores, to
have an impact so that this violence is stopped? How do you make
women feel safe and no longer afraid, because the man is stronger
physically and therefore can have the upper hand?
My mindmap was about the prevention and discussion, for exemple, involve men into the fight against violence, or fight discrimination laws implented in a lot of countries. I talk about the inportance of education of the young population in this fight. I mention the influence of social norms and the bad vision about women that some people have in different societies. And i highlight the culture of rape and the online violence about women (cyber bullying).
In my mindmap, I explored many different types of violence against women. I found out that not all violence are physical, there are also violence like forced marrage, cyberbullying and online harrassment. I also explored
